Jose Luis Sert worked under Le Corbusier in Europe and moved to the United States in 1939 where he resided as the head of the Design department at Harvard following Walter Gropius. His designs were not commercially available, as they were used only in his interior commissions. This form was used in his own home in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which was later integrated into the Harvard campus.
