Robert Gage's design for Heifetz utilizes four pivoting panels to control the direction of light. When composed as a box, the light is directed upward. By rotating the panels, light is emitted from the sides, creating indirect light. This form received Honorable Mention in the Museum of Modern Art's Low Cost Lighting competition.
