This candelabrum was designed by Swanson in 1935 for the interior of Gordon Menselssohn's home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Over a decade later, Swanson, his wife, Pipsan Saarinen Swanson, and Eliel Saarinen created the Swanson Saarinen Group and included this design in their line of furnishings for the modern home.
