Gio Ponti and Paolo De Poli began their collaborations in the 1940s when Ponti designed panels for the University of Padua and De Poli, a well-known enamel artist, executed the designs. The pointillist images depict scenes from a carnival and illustrate Italian life in the 1940s. The gate-fold decorated doors give the cabinet an element of volume and density that grounds Ponti's graceful structure. Sold with stamped and signed letter of authenticity by Lisa Licitra Ponti.
