In the early 1940s, the Eames' along with the Molded Plywood Division of Evans developed aircraft parts with the military for the war effort utilizing their plywood technology. It is this technology that assisted with the plywood radio enclosures three years later. Signed with metal tag with assembly number, serial number and date, sold with Arts & Architecture Magazine from November 1942, cover designed by Ray Eames illustrating the wing and aerodynamics of this bomber.
