This large, one-of-a-kind dining table was custom made for the Joan Weinstein residence in Chicago. Joan Weinstein was the founder of Ultimo, a haute-couture boutique in Chicago, and the first to bring high fashion to the Midwest beginning in the 1970s. Ms. Weinstein hired the young firm of Krueck and Sexton to remodel her turn of the century house in Chicago's Gold Coast, designed by Stamford White. This table features a thick glass top that has a unique bevel that changes from edge to edge. This massive glass is set on a serpentine base constructed of mild steel and solid brass.
