Frank Gehry has said that with his cardboard furnishings he set out to create "the Volkswagen of furniture." Designing with material that was cheap and easy to work with, the resulting furniture was durable and lightweight. Ironically, Gehry ceased production of the furniture fearing its commercial success would overshadow his architectural practice.
The following group of Wiggle stools were originally purchased upon Gehry suggestion for use around his Easy Edges dining table and are consigned from the original owner.
