Sori Yanagi's Butterfly stool combines the disparate traditions of Eastern philosophy and aesthetics with Western modernism. The stool echoes less of the traditional aspects of Japanese furniture, and instead appears indebted to the traditional kimono. Excellent example with original foil label and incised factory marks.
