In 1952 the Eames Office redesigned the Storage Unit series of furniture. The legs are no longer integral to the frame, but are inset for added stability; metal straps were added to the interior of the masonite panels and the drawer fronts and handles were redesigned. In addition, new configurations were added to the original design. The unit offered here, with a double bank of drawers, illustrates the improved function of the second series Storage Units. Pristine original condition.
