The furniture for the Kleinhaus Music Hall in Buffalo was an early collaboration of Eero Saarinen and Charles Eames executed while Charles was working in Eliel Saarinen's office in 1939. The molded form of the chair is influenced by Aalto and is still two-dimensional in its form yet it is gracefully balanced. The chair marks the first step in a collaboration that would yield the famous designs for the Museum of Modern Art's Organic Design Competition in 1940.
